In the old city, his Majesty lies,
A historic House of worship,
Where more than one minaret flies.

Wazir Khan is his name,
In my heart, his towers ignite a flame,
Traditionally calling the devout is the aim,
However, all sorts show up. Who is to blame?

Self-reflection in modernity is the theme,
When you find your inner self, it will seem,
That call to prayer has always been within you to redeem.
